Dixie Seating Company makes all of our rockers in the USA. We are proud to be the only domestic manufacturer that can say that. We believe that the rocking chair is a true American Icon, a symbol and an invitation from that next door neighbor to any-one passing by that just says, “Come, sit, and let’s talk and rock”.

The No. 30 chair is our camp chair and for generations been the standard chair for camps, including YOUNG Life camps all across the country. It is easy to see why with interlocking wood to wood joints, steam bent backs, easy to clean contoured seats and big enough but no too big to seat a large group of you and your friends around a table. This chair is now available to you with all the same durable and comfort features for the last 70 years.

The original little red rocker came from Dixie Seating in the 1930’s. Of all the products that we make, this is truly an American Classic. As a gift and keepsake, the child rocker from Dixie Seating is in more homes across America than any other- big or small. The letters and emails we receive from excited parents and grandparents who comment that they have passed down the rocker they cherished as a young child and can not believe that we still make it the same way. We understand at Dixie Seating that the child rocking chair is a family heirloom. That is why we still use adult sized components like our solid ash posts, band sawn seat slats, interlocking wood to wood joint and pressure fit “swelled joint construction” so that the rocker you purchase will last for generations.

Barbecue is big in the South. Whether its Eastern NC, Memphis, Texas or Georgia, people are very particular about their favorite BBQ. Dixie Seating likes them all and that is why we are the No. 1 supplier to all BBQ restaurants regardless of special sauces. BBQ restaurants need and demand chairs that will last and can handle the punishment. This chair has glued and screwed contoured seat slats attached to our curved seat stick to last for years. Add to that an extra wide frame and steam bent back posts and you have all the makings of a classic chair.

This is a large classic ladder back chair. The chair is made of solid ash hardwood and this chair is available in 10 colors & unfinished. This chair measures 35 inches tall by 20 inches wide and 16.5 inches deep. Chair comes fully assembled and this item features our hand steam bent posts. Made in the USA!

Remember that small country inn that you visited in the mountains on that special trip. The meals were served by the inn owner in the kitchen. Good chance you were sitting in our No. 80 chair. With a steam bent back and double contoured seat for exceptional comfort, the No. 80 chair finds its way as an occasional chair or pull-up chair in many homes today. Or maybe you are a big SEC football fan and love the Todd Taste of the Town segment where he tries the best in locally owned restaurants. We counted no less than 6 locations last year and won’t forget the urgent call from one owner...Can you rush me 12 more chairs by Friday, Todd is coming to my res-taurant. We know Todd not only ate well, but he was comfortable that Saturday too.
